SEN parents Art Club - Redeem a place ticket

£0.00

A welcoming monthly co-created art group in Shirley for SEN parents, focused on wellbeing, creative health and peer connection to support confidence and belonging. Co-held by people with lived experience.

When: 3rd Monday of each month, 10–12pm
Where: St James Methodist Church, St James Road, Shirley – Room Three

Contribution options:

  • £5 per session

  • Pay it forward place (support someone else to attend)

  • Redeem a pre-paid place if cost is a barrier

You can pay in cash on the day or by bank transfer on the day, as this is a drop-in session.

There is a donation pot for tea and coffee, and options for both a quiet table and a chatty table – so if you want to come, put your headphones on and not talk, you are very welcome, just as much as those who’d like to chat and share.

Each session is co-created with the group the month before. A resource sheet is offered to help you spark ideas during the session.

We begin with a short visualisation to help you come into body awareness, let go of family responsibilities for a while, and carve out precious time just for you. From there, you can follow the suggested activity or adapt it and work on your own ideas at your own pace. You can arrive late, leave early, or take breaks whenever you need to.

The group is sensory-aware and peer-led. All art materials are provided.

Booking is not required – the Art Club is a drop-in session. You are very welcome to just turn up, or email in advance if you’d like to let us know you are coming.
